Develop a logo design for a campaign that promotes donations for Washington State University (WSU) student-athletes scholarships and program fundraising.

The Cougar Athletic Fund (CAF) is the fundraising arm of Washington State University Athletics.

The ONE Makes A Difference campaign, powered by Gesa, is an opportunity for us to highlight and educate our community on how ONE donation, ONE student-athlete, ONE individual, and ONE decision can make a huge difference. Our friends at Gesa Credit Union will be matching up to $25,000 to support our student-athletes.

Design Process

The design process for the athletics logo for the fundraising campaign centers on capturing the essence of unity and inclusion across all sports at WSU. The logo features the word "ONE," with each letter symbolizing a student-athlete, representing the collective strength and diversity of the entire athletics program. This visual integration promotes the idea that every student-athlete, regardless of their sport, is united under one mission: to benefit from the generous donations raised through the campaign.

 

The use of "ONE" also echoes the campaign's core message—ONE student-athlete, ONE individual, and ONE decision—highlighting the power of collective support and individual commitment to the success of all student-athletes. The design aims to inspire pride and a sense of belonging, reinforcing the notion that we elevate the entire athletic community when we come together as one.

Marketing

Above is a culmination of marketing assets designed to launch the fundraising campaign for student-athletes. These assets include a series of engaging social media posts that will be shared across platforms to drive awareness and support and a visually appealing email header that captures the essence of the campaign’s message.

The website imagery has also been designed to align with the campaign’s branding, creating a cohesive look and feel across all digital channels.

Together, these assets create a unified and compelling narrative that encourages community engagement and donor participation, ensuring the success of the fundraising effort for WSU’s student-athletes.
